These port contour cutters cut the face,
counterbore, countersink, radius and
drill tap diameter in one pass. Achieves
perfect concentricity since tools are
ground between centers. Cutters are
designed for balanced tip cutting and
even distribution of chip load for
maximum life between grinds. Tool life
is also increased by form relieving
cutting edges. Type I and II have
identical contours but best results are
obtained with Type II, whole body O.D.
is ground to fit a standard bushing for
accurate alignment and pilot support.
(Type I has unground body.) Cutter
geometry is to standard practice and
these tools can be used efficiently on
most common types of material. |

Replaceable End Pilot Optional
Wetmore Type V cutters are similar to
the Type II series and offer the
replaceable feature of the tap drill
reamer, which permits interchange and
alternate use of an end pilot. These
cutters are carbide tipped, 4 flute and
ground on the body OD for accurate
alignment and pilot support. The body
is heat treated tool steel for toughness
and durability. All tolerances are held
well within applicable military
specifications.
